Lupe Carmona-Montalvo

Ma. Lupe Carmona-Montalvo is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in chemical engineering advocacy and education. Currently serving as the Past Chair of the Executive Student Committee for AIChE and holding multiple leadership roles such as National K-12 Outreach Committee Treasurer and Chairman of the Board, Ma. Lupe focuses on enhancing the educational experience for chemical engineering students across North America. Additionally, involvement includes advocacy for STEMM students with disabilities at Blind Art Studios, research on cancer treatment at NM Alliance for Minority Participation, and roles within prestigious organizations like Tau Beta Pi and Golden Key International Honour Society. Educational credentials feature a dual emphasis in Chemical & Materials Engineering and Biochemistry from New Mexico State University, along with prior studies at the University of California, Berkeley.
