Aleksandra Holod

Principal Researcher at American Institutes for Research

Aleksandra Holod has accumulated a diverse range of work experience over the years. Aleksandra started their career as a Preschool Teacher at Unity School and Clarendon Child Care Center in 1995. Aleksandra then transitioned into a Program Manager role at the East Bay Community Foundation, where they worked on the Oakland Fund for Children and Youth from 1998 to 2002.

After that, Aleksandra worked as a Policy and Fundraising Consultant for various organizations, including the KIPP Foundation, Public/Private Ventures, and the Alameda County Childcare Council, from 2002 to 2004. Aleksandra then joined Early Edge California as a Policy and Outreach Coordinator for their PreK for All Campaign from 2004 to 2007.

From 2007 to 2010, Aleksandra served as a Research Fellow at Columbia University in the City of New York, specifically at the National Center for Children and Families. Aleksandra then worked as a Research Analyst at the City University of New York (CUNY) in the Office of Policy Research from 2010 to 2012.

Currently, Aleksandra holds the position of Senior Researcher at the American Institutes for Research. Aleksandra started in 2012 and has since held this role, contributing to the organization's research efforts.

Throughout their career, Aleksandra has shown expertise in research, policy development, and program management in the field of education and child development.

Aleksandra Holod has a B.A. degree in Psychology and Fine Art from William & Mary. Aleksandra also holds a Master's degree in Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley. Currently, Aleksandra is pursuing a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University.
