Angelica Herrera

Angelica Herrera's work experience includes serving as a Senior Researcher at the American Institutes for Research since 2014. In this role, they serve as a Principal Investigator or Project Director for various contracts and grant-funded projects, focusing on educational outcomes for children and families. Angelica is also responsible for leading collaboration efforts and coordinating six research-practice partnerships in the states served by the Regional Educational Laboratory Southwest.

Prior to their current position, Angelica was the Owner of Herrera and Ware Research Solutions, LLC from 2012 to 2014. Angelica also worked as a Research Scientist at the University of Texas at Dallas from 2010 to 2011, and as an Evaluation Analyst at the Austin Independent School District from 2008 to 2010. Angelica's earlier experience includes working as an Education and Research Consultant at Sesame Workshop from 2004 to 2009.

Angelica Herrera has a strong educational background in the field of human development and family studies. Angelica completed a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Spanish at The University of Texas at Austin in 1997. Angelica then pursued a Master's degree in Psychology at Hunter College from 1999 to 2002. Continuing their academic journey, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Human Development and Family Studies from The Graduate Center, City University of New York, where they studied from 2002 to 2006. Lastly, Angelica completed a post-doctorate program at The University of Texas at Austin from 2006 to 2008, focusing on Human Development and Family Studies in a general context.
