Senior Researcher at American Institutes for Research

Dia Jackson, Ed.D. has work experience in various educational institutions. From 2005 to 2014, they worked as a Special Education Resource Teacher at Montgomery County Public Schools. Following that, from 2008 to 2015, they were a Special Education Doctoral Candidate at The George Washington University. Since 2014, they have been associated with the American Institutes for Research (AIR). At AIR, they started as a Researcher in the Education Program, where they provided technical assistance and professional development in special education and Response to Intervention (RTI) to states and school districts. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Researcher at the AIR Center for Response to Intervention. In this role, they lead the Arkansas RTI State Personnel Development Project and provides professional development and technical assistance to multiple states.

Dia Jackson, Ed.D. completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology at the University of Virginia from 2000 to 2005. Later, they pursued their Master of Teaching degree, specializing in Special Education, at the same institution from 2000 to 2005 as well. After a gap, from 2009 to 2014, Dia attended The George Washington University, where they earned their Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in Applied Neuroscience in Special Education.
