Jane G. Coggshall McConnochie has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Jane began their career as a Teacher of Mathematics at New York City Junior High School 22, where they worked from 1998 to 2000. Jane then transitioned into the field of research and policy analysis, joining Learning Point Associates in 2006 as a Research and Policy Analyst until 2010. Following this, they joined the American Institutes for Research in 2010, initially as a Senior Research and Policy Analyst and later as a Principal Researcher from June 2016 onwards.

Jane G. Coggshall McConnochie obtained their A.B. degree in Sociology & Program in Teacher Preparation from Princeton University in the years 1993 to 1997. Jane then pursued further education at the University of Michigan, where they completed their Ph.D. in Education Studies from 2000 to 2006.
