Jizhi Zhang

Principal Research Scientist at American Institutes for Research

Jizhi Zhang has a diverse work experience in the field of research. They began their career as a Research Associate at The University of Arizona in 2003, where they worked until 2006. In 2008, they joined the American Council on Education as a Senior Research Analyst, focusing on various research projects such as conducting a longitudinal study on GED credential recipients' postsecondary education outcomes and evaluating the GED Option Program. They also applied multi-level analysis to investigate how policies influenced repeat GED candidates' testing performance. In 2012, Jizhi joined the American Institutes for Research as a Principal Research Scientist, where they continue to contribute their expertise.

Jizhi Zhang obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from Sichuan International Studies University, where the field of study is not specified, in the years 1995 to 1999. Later, Zhang pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Educational Psychology with a specialization in Human Development at the University of Arizona from 2001 to 2003. Finally, Zhang received a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology, specializing in Statistics, Measurement, and Evaluation, also from the University of Arizona, during the period of 2003 to 2007.
