Jordan Rickles

Principal Researcher at American Institutes for Research

Jordan Rickles has extensive work experience in the field of research and education. They started their career in 2000 as a Staff Research Associate at UCLA Ralph and Goldy Lewis Center for Regional Policy Studies, where they coordinated research projects and managed data. In 2002, Jordan served as a Lecturer at California State University, teaching courses on program evaluation and applied policy analysis. They also worked as an Educational Research Analyst at Los Angeles Unified School District from 2005 to 2008, where they conducted statistical and qualitative analyses. Jordan then joined the Center for Research on Evaluation, Standards, & Student Testing (CRESST) as a Graduate Student Researcher from 2008 to 2011. They later became a Special Reader and Teaching Assistant at the Department of Education, University of California at Los Angeles, from 2010 to 2012. Subsequently, Jordan worked as a Postdoctoral Scholar at UCLA from 2012 to 2013. Currently, they are a Principal Researcher at the American Institutes for Research, a position they have held since 2013.

Jordan Rickles has an extensive education history. From 1994 to 1998, they attended Cornell University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Labor Relations. Following this, they enrolled at UCLA from 1998 to 2000 and obtained a Master of Public Policy degree. Finally, from 2007 to 2012, Jordan pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) at UCLA in the Department of Education, specializing in Social Research Methodology.
