Nancy Velasco

Deputy Director/ Senior Associate/project Director at American Institutes for Research

Nancy Velasco has a diverse work experience starting from 2009 to the present. Nancy began their career as a Public Health Research Analyst at the Milwaukee Area Health Education Center (MAHEC) from June 2009 to July 2010. Nancy then worked as a Consultant at Alvarez & Marsal from May 2011 to January 2015. Nancy joined the American Institutes for Research in January 2015, where they held various roles such as Deputy Director, Senior Associate, and Project Director. From September 2015 to January 2017, they also served as a Member of the Board of Directors for Reach for College!, a non-profit organization focused on helping low-income high school students pursue higher education.

Nancy Velasco obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biomedical Sciences from Marquette University from 2006 to 2010. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Health Systems Administration from Georgetown University, where they attended from 2010 to 2012.
