Ozen Guven, Ph.D. has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of education and research. Starting in 2012, Ozen served as a Consultant for the Education Above All Foundation, focusing on the education of children associated with armed forces. In 2014, they also worked as a Consultant for the Department for International Development (DFID), specializing in education in emergencies.

Ozen then pursued their education and obtained a Ph.D. in International Development and Education from New York University, with a focus on the politics of education in the Syrian conflict. During their doctoral studies, they held various positions at New York University, including Adjunct Professor, Associate Research Scientist, and Teaching Assistant.

After completing their Ph.D., Ozen continued their career as a Consultant, working on projects related to forced displacement and education with the American Institutes for Research and Catholic Relief Services. They also served as an Instructor for the Global Human Rights Education and Training Centre, teaching a course on Education in Emergencies to international agency staff members.

Ozen then pursued their Master of Science (M.S.) degree in International Relations at the Middle East Technical University from 2007 to 2010. Subsequently, they attended New York University from 2010 to 2018, where they completed their doctoral studies and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in International Education.
