Monitoring, Evaluation, And Learning Specialist at American Institutes for Research

Santiago Munevar Salazar has a range of experience in the field of monitoring, evaluation, and learning. Santiago also has experience as an independent consultant in monitoring, evaluation, and learning. From 2013 to 2019, they conducted around 35 program evaluations for organizations such as the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Oxfam Mexico, the UK Department for International Development (DFID), and various Mexican local governments, among others. Santiago also provided training in program design, monitoring, and evaluation methodologies.

Earlier in their career, Santiago worked as a Gerente de Proyectos at Cívicus, Consultores en Gestión Pública y Social, S.C. from 2013 to 2019, where they evaluated local programs such as the "El Médico en tu Casa" program of the Mexico City government. Santiago also served as a Subdirector de Vinculación Intergubernamental and Jefe de Departamento at the Consejo Nacional de Evaluación de la Política de Desarrollo Social, where they were involved in projects related to poverty analysis, design, monitoring, evaluation, and learning for social policies in Mexican subnational governments.

Additionally, Santiago worked as a Gerente de Proyectos at the Escuela de Administración Pública del Gobierno del Distrito Federal from 2014 to 2015, where they participated in the design of the proposal for the professionalization policy of public servants in the Mexico City government.
