Jon Schweitzer

Managing Director, Marketing & Communications at AMERICAN JEWISH COMMITTEE

As Managing Director of Marketing and Communications, Jon Schweitzer oversees AJC's external and advocacy communications operations. He is also responsible for the agency's content production and content marketing strategy.

Schweitzer previously served as AJC's Director of Digital Communications and Public Affairs, leading the team charged with policy communications strategy, advocacy campaigns, major event communications, social media, and digital marketing tactics. Prior to that, Schweitzer served as AJC Chicago's Assistant Director, Communications, handling media relations, social media, international relations, and government relations. In 2013, Jon was AJC Chicago's Acting Director.

Earlier in his career, Schweitzer was U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar's Washington, D.C.-based Deputy Press Secretary. In 2010 Schweitzer traveled to Ghana and Liberia for a State Department program aimed at advancing democracy in west Africa. Jon graduated from Loyola University Chicago where he earned his B.A. in Political Science, Public Relations, and Advertising.
