Michael Sieveking

Director of U.S. Diplomatic Engagement at AMERICAN JEWISH COMMITTEE

Michael Sieveking is an experienced professional in diplomatic engagement and congressional affairs, currently serving as Director of U.S. Diplomatic Engagement and Director of Congressional Affairs at the American Jewish Committee (AJC) since August 2021. Prior to this role, Michael held various positions at the AJC Transatlantic Institute since September 2013, including Deputy Director and EU Policy Advisor. Michael's experience includes a trainee position in the Office of Elmar Brok at the European Parliament and internships at the Friedrich Ebert Foundation and the German Institute for International and Security Affairs. Michael began a career in journalism as a freelance journalist for Kölnische Rundschau. Michael holds a Magister Artium (M.A.) in Political Science and Government from the University of Potsdam, and has also studied at the University of Cologne and McGill University.
