Elizabeth Leih has a strong background in design and marketing, with a focus on graphic design and creative direction. Elizabeth started their career as a Costume Designer and Wardrobe Assistant for various theater and film companies from 1996 to 2000. In 2001, they worked as a Production Manager at Wiley before transitioning to a Creative & Production Intern role at Siegel & Gale in 2004. From 2006 to 2007, they worked as a Designer at The Intelligence Group and also took on freelance graphic design projects for Reader's Digest. In 2007, they joined CS Designworks, Inc. as a Designer, where they designed and built websites, created email campaigns, and optimized websites for search engines. In 2012, they became a Freelance Graphic Designer before joining American Jewish World Service (AJWS) as a Graphic Designer in 2012. Elizabeth later served as a Senior Designer from 2014 to 2015 and then became the Creative Director in 2015. Elizabeth also had a temporary role as the Interim Acting Vice President for Marketing and Communications from 2022 to 2023. Currently, they are the Principal Designer at Elizabeth Leih Design, a role they have held since 2003.

Elizabeth Leih earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Kenyon College, where they attended from 1991 to 1995. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Communication Design at Pratt Institute between 2003 and 2006.
