Alina Panek

Alina Panek is a dedicated professional in the journalism and nonprofit sectors with extensive experience in building partnerships and managing grants. Currently serving as a Senior Associate for Local Partnerships at the American Journalism Project, Alina supports nonprofit newsrooms in enhancing visibility and financial resources. Previously, Alina excelled as a Grants Management Specialist at The GroundTruth Project, where responsibilities included proposal development and managing comprehensive grant processes. Alina has also worked with Report for America as a Project Coordinator and as a Weekend Assignment Editor at WBBM | CBS Chicago, gaining valuable experience in research and coverage preparation. Early career roles included internships at WBBM | CBS Chicago where Alina contributed to investigative journalism and social media strategy.
