Amar Rajwani

Amar Rajwani serves as the Chief Financial & Administrative Officer at the American Journalism Project, overseeing fiscal strategy and people operations for a venture philanthropy supporting nonprofit newsrooms in the U.S. In addition, Amar holds board positions as Treasurer for Mountain State Spotlight and Vice-Chair for Nonprofit New York. Previously, Amar was a Co-Instructor in the Executive MPA program at Baruch College and held various leadership roles within the NYC Department of Education, including Deputy Executive Director of Finance & Operations for the Division of Early Childhood Education, managing a significant budget and overseeing enrollment processes. Amar's experience also includes management roles in child care programs and educational initiatives, supported by an Executive MPA from Baruch College and a BA in English from Queens College.
