Jesse Wood

Jesse Wood is an aspiring journalist and current In-House Communications Intern at the American Junior Golf Association. With extensive experience in various journalistic roles, Jesse has served as an Agriculture and Environment Reporter at The Oglethorpe Echo, producing multiple articles on significant local issues and demonstrating expertise through investigative reporting. At The Red & Black Publishing Co., Jesse held several positions including Managing Editor and Culture Editor, where leadership and editorial skills were honed overseeing a large team and ensuring timely publication of diverse content. Jesse's commitment to impactful journalism is further reflected in participation in the Cox Institute for Journalism Innovation and various innovative projects. A graduate of the University of Georgia with a Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Jesse also has a background in sustainability reporting and digital media engagement strategies.
