Andrew Handel

Andrew Handel is a professional with extensive experience in legislative and public policy roles. Currently serving as the Director of the Center to Protect Free Speech and the Education and Workforce Development Task Force at the American Legislative Exchange Council since January 2021, Andrew previously held the position of Deputy Chief of Staff at First Rule from August 2017 to September 2020, where responsibilities included conducting subject matter research and fiscal impact analysis. Prior experience includes roles as a Budget and Planning Analyst I for the State of Missouri's Office of Administration, and as a Public Policy Intern at the St. Louis Regional Chamber, along with academic positions at Saint Louis University. Andrew holds a Master of Science in Applied Financial Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance from Saint Louis University.
