National Senior Manager Professional Education And Outreach at American Liver Foundation

Carissa Hickok, M.Ed., CHES, currently serves as the National Senior Manager for Professional Education and Outreach at the American Liver Foundation since February 2022, after progressing from the role of National Manager in the same department. Prior to this, Carissa held the position of Branch Director at Florida Health from February 2007 to February 2022, where responsibilities included managing public health services. Earlier in the career, Carissa contributed as a Health Educator Consultant and Senior Health Educator with the City of Des Moines, and held roles at the American Red Cross Serving Iowa, YMCA of Greater Des Moines, Wellness Council of Iowa, and City of Cedar Falls. The educational background includes a Master of Education from American College of Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Health Promotion from the University of Northern Iowa, with additional studies at Des Moines University and the University of Iowa.
