Kaelyn Gates

Kaelyn Gates has extensive experience in nonprofit development, currently serving as the Senior Development Director at the American Lung Association since March 2017, where responsibilities include leading efforts in lung health advocacy, education, and research. Prior to this role, Kaelyn held various positions at the American Lung Association, including Development Director and Senior Development Manager. Earlier experience includes serving as a Fundraising Coordinator for the Muscular Dystrophy Association from July 2014 to February 2017, where the focus was on advocacy and community engagement related to neuromuscular diseases. Kaelyn also gained retail management insights during an internship at Sherwin Williams and showcased creative skills through video production at Upstate New York Transplant Services. Kaelyn holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from John Carroll University, earned between 2010 and 2014.
