Fred Meyrick

Fred Meyrick is a skilled boatbuilder and technician with extensive experience in the marine industry. Currently serving as a boatbuilder for American Magic in the 37th America's Cup since January 2023, Fred previously held positions at Gurit as a Laminating and Engineering Technician, where responsibilities included designing composite tests and completing industry-standard reports. Additional experience includes working as a boatbuilder for Emirates Team New Zealand and Boatbuilding and Shipwright Services Ltd, alongside a role as a body technician at Marine Max. Fred holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Auckland University of Technology and multiple qualifications in boatbuilding from the New Zealand Qualifications Authority and Manukau Institute of Technology.
