Katya Castellanos Estrada

Katya Castellanos Estrada is an accomplished hydraulic technician currently employed at American Magic Challenger for the 37th America's Cup, specializing in the installation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hydraulic systems on AC40 and AC75 sailboats. Katya has previously represented the Guatemalan National Sailing Federation as a sailor, contributing to the Olympic campaign as both a crew member and coach for the Nacra 17 class. In addition to diverse sailing experience, Katya has held roles in avionics and mechanical maintenance across multiple companies, including Aeroservicios and SailGP, while also offering private kiteboarding and wakeboard instruction. With a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies, focusing on Marine Fluid Power Systems Engineering, and additional certifications in strategic management and data science, Katya combines technical expertise with a passion for sailing and coaching.
