Majella Blok has extensive work experience in the event management and hospitality industry. Majella has held various roles throughout their career, starting in 1999 as a Project Manager for the South African - Netherlands Chamber of Commerce. Majella then worked at ATPI, where they held several positions, including Sustainability Manager and Vice President of the Working Council. During this time, they also worked on major sporting events such as the Olympics and the Volvo Ocean Race. Majella later joined Vestas, a sustainable energy solutions company, as a Project Lead for their partnership with the Mercedes EQ Formula E Team. Blok has also worked for NOC*NSF, where they were involved in organizing various conferences and events related to sports. Most recently, they worked as the Head of Hospitality for The Ocean Race and is currently the Director of Hospitality and Events for American Magic - Challenger in the 37th America's Cup.
Majella Blok's education history begins with their attendance at the Maerlant Lyceum from 1980 to 1986, but no degree or field of study is provided for this period. Majella then went on to study Slavistic Languages at Leiden University in 1987 and 1988. Following this, from 1988 to 1992, Majella attended Windesheim University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Media Studies. In 1992 and 1993, they furthered their education at the EU Business School, earning a Master of Arts degree in Marketing and Communication. In 2004 and 2005, they pursued a Practitioner Opleiding NLP en Systemisch Werk degree at Plata opleidingsinstituut. Finally, in 2018 and 2019, Majella enrolled at NLP Academie Utrecht, where they acquired a Coach certification in Systemic Constellations / Systemisch Werken (Familie Opstellingen).
