Richard Sachar is a seasoned maritime professional with extensive experience in engineering roles aboard ocean-going vessels. Currently serving as a Ship's Officer and Chief Engineer at American Maritime Officers since April 2000, Richard has supervised engine departments and managed complex engine rooms. Prior to this role, Richard worked as a First Engineer at Ensco plc from April 2013 to June 2016, where responsibilities included supervising the engine room of a drill ship and ensuring compliance with energy efficiency and environmental standards. Richard's career began as a Field Service Technician at Siemens from 1998 to 2000, focusing on building automation systems in the New York City area. Richard holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Facilities Engineering from the State University of New York Maritime College, earned between 1994 and 1999.
