Samuel Borer

Samuel Borer, MD, currently serves as an Executive Committee Member and Technical Advisor for the American Academy of Pediatrics within the Section on Hospice & Palliative Medicine, contributing to the Global Pediatric Disaster Preparedness Virtual Course Project Advisory Committee. Borer is also an Internal Medicine-Pediatrics Resident Physician at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Since October 2019, Borer has held various leadership roles with the American Medical Association, including as an AMA Ambassador and Chapter President for CMU College of Medicine. Additionally, Borer is a member of the Gold Humanism Honors Society Advisory Council and has been involved with the Association of American Medical Colleges, where responsibilities included serving as a National Delegate and organizing committees focused on student engagement and humanism in medicine. Borer's educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine degree from Central Michigan University College of Medicine and a Bachelor's Degree in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Maine, among other academic qualifications.
