Vania E. Fernandez

Vania E. Fernandez, M.D., is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at Florida International University - Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, where Vania has served as founding faculty since 2013. Vania holds multiple leadership roles, including past president of the Broward County Medical Association and board member of Project Opioid. Vania also contributes as an assistant professor at Nova Southeastern University Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Allopathic Medicine and co-chair of the Physician Leadership Academy with the Palm Beach County Medical Society. Furthermore, Vania is engaged with professional organizations, serving as president-elect for the Florida Society of Interventional Pain Physicians and as a delegate for the American Medical Association. Vania's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Immunology and a medical degree from the University of Miami.
