Past Chair, Public Policy Committee at American Medical Informatics Association

Margo Edmunds, PhD, FAMIA, currently serves as Associate Editor for Applied Clinical Informatics and holds the position of Vice President at AcademyHealth since 2012, focusing on innovations in research translation into policy and practice. Margo has a significant role in the American Medical Informatics Association as Past Chair of the Public Policy Committee and contributes as a reviewer for the International Journal of Medical Informatics. Previously, Margo acted as Senior Program Officer and Study Director at the Institute of Medicine, overseeing a national study on Medicare payment reform that informed Congress. With extensive teaching experience at Johns Hopkins University and other notable institutions, Margo's educational background includes a PhD in Human Development and Community/Clinical Psychology from Penn State University and a fellowship in Behavioral Medicine/Health Policy from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
