Susan Hull

Susan is a nurse executive, entrepreneur and informaticist passionate about transforming health and care through co-production. Board certified in nursing informatics and advanced nursing executive, her experience spans diverse roles including designing and managing a new childrenís hospital emergency service, nursing and health system executive, healthy community partnership and community health information network (CHIN) executive, chief nursing and health informatics officer, consultant and researcher. Her leadership experience builds on participation in the start of the healthy community, population health and learning health system movements. Susan is currently serving as Principal, Consumer Health Informatics for the MITRE Corporation. She recently served as Chief Health Information Officer (CHIO) at CareLoop , as a Research Director with Gartner, CNIO for Cincinnati Childrenís, CHIO for Diversinet, Vice President for Elsevierís CPM Resource Center, and founder of WellSpring Consulting. Susan is an author, speaker, and policy advocate. Susan is a Fellow with AMIA and serves on AMIAís Public Policy committee, chairing the 2017 AMIA Policy Invitational, and co-chairs the Alliance for Nursing Informatics. Susan was the 2017 recipient the AMIA Leadership Award, Don Eugene Detmer Award for Health Policy Contribution in Informatics. She has served on HHS ONC HIT Policy/Standards Committeeís consumer health and technology standards workgroups and the NeHC Consumer e-Health advisory board. Susan has served on the Learning Health System Policy Governance task force and the TIGER Initiative Foundation board. She contributes to the Nursing Knowledge and Big Data Science community and the Social and Behavioral Determinants of Health workgroup.
