Craig de Meillon

Craig De Meillon has extensive work experience in various roles related to safety, risk management, and disaster relief. Craig currently works as a Safety & Risk Specialist at Global Medical Response, where they manage multiple areas in Florida and develops and implements risk mitigation strategies. Prior to this, they served as a Team Lead at Reach Out Worldwide, providing humanitarian relief in the aftermath of natural disasters. Craig also has experience as a Firefighter at Islamorada, Village of Islands and as an Emergency Management Director at a consulting firm. Additionally, Craig has worked as a Leading Firefighter Aviation Rescue at Airservices Australia and as an Aviation Specialist at SKYTRADERS. Craig has also worked in the airline industry as a Cabin Crew for Etihad Airways and Virgin Australia. Furthermore, Craig has experience in the entertainment industry, having worked as an actor for a Netflix film and as a Production Assistant at Discovery Networks International.

Craig De Meillon attended New York University from 2015 to 2019, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, with a focus on Crisis/Emergency/Disaster Management. In 2021, they attended Marion Technical College and earned a degree as an EMT Emergency Medical Technician. Craig also attended the Fire Academy from 2017 to 2019 and completed a degree in Public Safety (Firefighting Emergency Operations), specializing in Wildland/Forest Firefighting and Investigation. Prior to that, they attended Griffith University from 2010 to 2014, earning a degree in Emergency Management, with a focus on Crisis/Emergency/Disaster Management. Craig also holds a High School diploma from Northwood High School. Additionally, they completed a course on Telecommunications Technology/Technician at TAFE Queensland in 2008. Craig further pursued studies in Electronics at Durban University of Technology from 1998 to 2000. Craig De Meillon has additional certifications, including OSHA 30 Hour obtained in 2022 from OSHA Safety Training Institute and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification obtained in 2021 from Florida Health. Craig also holds certifications from the Australian Institute of Personal Trainers in Personal Training and TAFE Queensland in Advanced Life Support.
