Marci Goolsby

Marci Goolsby currently serves as the Director of Sports Medicine for the WNBA and as President of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, both since May 2023. Goolsby has been the Medical Director of the Women’s Sports Medicine Center at the Hospital for Special Surgery since September 2010, where Goolsby also practices as a Sports Medicine Physician. Additionally, Goolsby has been an active member of the Female Athlete Triad Coalition since September 2008 and previously served as a consulting team physician for the New York Liberty from 2011 to 2021 and as a team physician for US Biathlon from 2014 to 2020. Goolsby's medical training includes a residency in Family Medicine at UCLA Health System and a fellowship in Sports Medicine at the same institution. Goolsby obtained a Doctor of Medicine degree from Texas A&M University School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Physiology and Neuroscience from UC San Diego.
