Jim Sliney Jr

Jim Sliney Jr, RMA, BCPA, serves as the Chief Patient Officer at Patients Rising since February 2017, overseeing patient-related programs and facilitating communication between patients and supporting organizations. With a background that includes roles such as Interim Executive Director, where restructuring and new funding opportunities were created, and Director of Patient Content & Outreach, focusing on patient empowerment and advocacy, Jim has extensive experience in patient engagement. In addition to work at Patients Rising, Jim operates as a Writer/Editor, servicing various clients, and has maintained a role as a Registered Medical Assistant with American Medical Technologists since 1995. Prior to current positions, Jim coordinated rare disease clinical trials at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Jim holds a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing from Columbia University and is a certified Patient Advocate.
