Anita Hanks

Anita Hanks is the Founder and Head of School at Starwood Academy of Frisco since September 2000, fostering an authentic Montessori experience for children. Anita serves as a Board Member for the American Montessori Society since January 2017, supporting the organization's strategic initiatives. Anita also holds the position of Executive Director at the North Texas Montessori Institute, an MACTE accredited and AMS affiliated Teacher Education Program since August 2015. Previous experience includes serving as Primary Guide and Assistant Director at West Plano Montessori School from September 1998 to August 2000. Anita's educational credentials include a Master of Education in Early Childhood Education from Texas Woman's University, accreditation from the Center for Montessori Education, a Bachelor of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University, and a teaching certification from the Dallas Montessori Academy.
