Jonathan Baskin is a distinguished scientist with extensive experience in biology and environmental science. Currently serving as a Visiting Scientist at the American Museum of Natural History since January 2021, Jonathan previously held the position of Principal Senior Scientist at San Marino Environmental Associates until retirement in January 2014. Jonathan enjoyed a long academic career as an Emeritus Professor of Biological Sciences at California State Polytechnic University Pomona from September 1971 to June 2010. Educational qualifications include an AB in Biology from Harvard College, a Master's degree in Marine Biology and Biological Oceanography from the University of Miami, and a PhD in Zoology/Animal Biology from City University of New York.
