Matt Tarr is a Senior Director of Digital at the American Museum of Natural History, where responsibilities include leading collaborative efforts among technologists, designers, writers, and scientists to achieve the Museum's digital strategy and goals. With a background as a Director of Digital Architect and Senior Interactive Designer, expertise includes designing and delivering interactive online experiences. Matt served as the President of the Board of Directors for the Museum Computer Network from October 2016 to September 2020 and has freelanced as an interaction designer and information architect with notable clients ranging from the New York Public Library to Absolut Vodka. Previous roles include directing and editing a dance film and working as a full-stack web developer at the Institute for Simulation and Training, where contributions included building web applications for the modeling and simulation community. Educational qualifications include a BA in Anthropology from the University of Central Florida and further studies at Hunter College.
