Katie Boston- Leary

Katie Boston-Leary, PhD, MBA, MHA, RN, NEA-BC, FADLN, serves as the Senior Vice President of Equity and Engagement and Senior Director of Nursing Programs at the American Nurses Association since 2020, where leadership of policy initiatives empowering nurses is paramount. Additionally, Katie holds an adjunct professorship at the University of Maryland School of Nursing, developing nursing leadership curricula. As the CEO and Founder of The Reach Initiative, established in 2019, Katie focuses on coaching managers into inspiring leaders. Formerly the System Chief Nursing Officer at University of Maryland Capital Region Health and President of the Maryland Organization of Nurse Leaders, Katie has a proven track record in advancing nursing practices and securing funding for initiatives. Educational achievements include a PhD in Health Sciences, an MBA, and an MHA, alongside a BS in Nursing.
