Gilanie De Castro, MSN, RN, OCN, NE-BC, CNML, currently serves as Interim Sr. Regional Nursing Director and Nursing Manager at City of Hope since September 2018. Additionally, Gilanie holds the position of Legislative Director with the American Nurses Association/California and serves as the AONL Social Media Ambassador for the American Organization for Nursing Leadership. Previously, Gilanie was a Class of 2023 participant in the ANA/C Advocacy Institute and completed the AONL Nurse Manager Fellowship. With extensive experience in oncology nursing, Gilanie worked as a Clinical Nurse III at UCLA Health from August 2010 to August 2018 and as Staff Registered Nurse at Beaver Medical Group, PLLC. Early career experience includes serving as a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse and a Medical Surgical/Oncology Nurse at Citrus Valley Health Partners. Gilanie's academic qualifications include a Master’s of Nursing Science in Leadership and Management from Western Governors University and a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Azusa Pacific University.
