Mary Warner, CAE has a diverse work experience in the publishing industry. Mary started their career as a research chemist at Research Triangle Institute in 1978 and worked there until 1984. Mary then joined the American Chemical Society, where they served as a Managing Editor from 1984 to 1997 and later became the Director of Special Publications from 1997 to 2003. In 2004, Mary joined Cadmus Communications as the Content Services Group Leader until 2010 when they transitioned to the American Geophysical Union as the Director of AGU Publications until 2016. Currently, Mary is the Vice President of Publishing at the American Pharmacists Association, a position they have held since August 2020. Throughout their career, Mary has gained valuable expertise in publications and has consistently advanced in leadership roles.
Mary Warner, CAE received their M.S. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the years 1980 to 1984. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at Eckerd College, earning a B.S. in Chemistry and Biology from 1973 to 1977. In addition to their formal education, Mary Warner obtained the Certified Association Executive certification from ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership in December 2013. It is worth noting that Mary Warner also attended the Stanford Professional Publishing Course and the Stanford Web Publishing Course, although specific dates and degrees are not provided for these programs.
