Cortney Bougher

Cortney Bougher, MS, CAE has extensive experience in member engagement and program management within the physics community, serving the American Physical Society (APS Physics) in various roles since May 2014, including Director of Membership and Honors Program Manager. Prior to APS, Cortney worked at Appalachian State University from August 2010 to May 2014 as a Graduate Research Assistant and in teaching and research capacities. Cortney began a career in research as a Summer Undergraduate Research Fellow at the National Institute of Standards and Technology in 2010. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Engineering Physics and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics and Applied Mathematics from Appalachian State University, as well as an Associate of Arts from Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute.
