Erin Knutson currently serves as an Associate Editor at the American Physical Society (APS Physics) since July 2021, focusing on atomic, molecular, and optical physics as well as quantum information. Previously, Erin held a postdoctoral fellow position at Santa Clara University, concentrating on the ultrafast optical control of topological materials, and also served as a lecturer for Physics 32. Erin's research background includes work as a Graduate Research Assistant at Tulane University, where projects involved multimode four-wave mixing and quantum optics, alongside experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for introductory and advanced physics courses. Erin's career began as a researcher at the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), developing a dual accelerometer/gyroscope system utilizing cold atom technology. Erin completed a PhD in Physics at Tulane University and received a Bachelor's degree in Physics from St. Mary's College of Maryland.
