Patricia Foley

Patricia Foley possesses extensive experience in nursing and copywriting, currently serving as a Journal Services Assistant at the American Physical Society since February 2019. Prior to this role, Patricia worked as a Registered Nurse at South Oaks Hospital for over a decade, where responsibilities included functioning as a Float Charge Nurse across various units in a 150+ bed psychiatric hospital, with expertise in behavioral nursing for diverse patient populations. Additional nursing experience includes a position as a psychiatric charge nurse at Pilgrim Psychiatric Center and case management at Brookhaven Memorial Hospital. Earlier in Patricia's career, significant contributions were made as a Senior Copywriter at both Coty and Del Laboratories, specializing in cosmetics and over-the-counter pharmaceuticals. Patricia holds a BA in Social & Behavioral Sciences from Stony Brook University and an AAS in Nursing from Suffolk County Community College.
