Cynthia Currie is an accomplished creative professional with extensive experience in publication design and art direction. Currently serving as Creative Director at the American Planning Association since October 2018, Cynthia oversees the art direction, design, and production of Planning magazine, focusing on topics such as affordable housing and climate change. As a Design Consultant since May 2012, Cynthia has worked with diverse clients in healthcare, finance, education, and nonprofit sectors, providing a range of services from project management to infographic design. Previous roles include Art Director at GLC and HistoryNet, where Cynthia earned recognition for publication redesigns, including awards from Association Media and Publishing. Cynthia’s earlier career includes a long tenure as Design Director at Kiplinger Washington Editors, contributing to multiple renowned newsstand magazines.
