Ralph Willmer, FAICP, currently serves as the AICP Ethics Officer for the American Planning Association since August 2022. Previously, from June 2015 to August 2022, Ralph held the position of Technical Assistance Program Manager and Principal Planner at the Metropolitan Area Planning Council, focusing on supporting municipalities in the Greater Boston area with housing production plans, master plans, open space and recreation plans, and zoning amendments. Ralph's earlier experience includes roles as a Senior Planner/Project Manager at Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc., where expertise in master plans and public outreach was developed, and as Director of Planning at McGregor & Associates, providing environmental consulting and land use planning services. Additional positions include Director of Planning at the Cambridge Economic Opportunity Committee and Campus Organizer for the New York Public Interest Research Group. Ralph holds an M.A. in Urban and Environmental Policy from Tufts University and a BS in Environmental and Resources Management from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry.
