David Sampson

David A. Sampson has a diverse and extensive work experience. David A. began their career as the President & CEO of the American Property Casualty Insurance Association (APCIA) in 2007, where they led the primary national trade association for home, auto, and business insurers. In this role, they promoted and protected private competition in the insurance industry. Concurrently, they also served as the President of the Independent Statistical Service (ISS). Prior to these positions, Sampson held leadership roles in the U.S. Department of Commerce, including Deputy Secretary from 2005 to 2007 and Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Economic Development from 2001 to 2005. In these positions, they managed large budgets and portfolios and was responsible for promoting economic opportunities both domestically and globally. Earlier in their career, Sampson served as the President & CEO of The Arlington Chamber of Commerce, where they successfully led economic development efforts and significantly grew the organization's membership base.
