Aaron Wood has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Aaron served as the Head of Product and Content Management at the American Psychological Association from January 2020 onwards and as the Senior Director of Product Management from May 2016 to December 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Manager of Product Development at Ingram Content Group from September 2014 to June 2016. Aaron also held various roles at Alexander Street Press, including Vice President of Systems and Data Architecture from October 2011 to August 2014, and Director of Software Product Management from May 2010 to October 2011. Additionally, they worked at the University of Calgary, Libraries and Cultural Resources as the Associate Head of Collections and Metadata Services from February 2007 to June 2010. Aaron started their career as a Metadata Specialist and Editor of Web Applications at Publishing and Depository Services, Public Works and Government Services Canada in 2006 and as an Intranet Applications Designer and Audit Researcher at the Knowledge Centre, Office of the Auditor General of Canada in 2005.

Aaron Wood has a Master's degree in Information Science/Studies from Western University and a Bachelor's degree in Slavic Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics, General from McGill University. Aaron also holds additional certifications in Agile Product Owner, Agile Leadership, and XML and RDF-Based Systems.
