Hideko Sera

Hideko Sera serves as the Executive Director of Educational Inclusion and Belonging (EIB) at Morehouse College, leveraging best practices to foster a culture of belonging for students, faculty, and staff. With a strong background in diversity, equity, and inclusion, Hideko has held various leadership positions, including Associate Dean of Student Services for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Morehouse College and Associate Dean of the School of Education at the University of Redlands. Additionally, Hideko is an elected member of multiple boards within the American Psychological Association, contributing to the advancement of psychological science and education. Hideko's commitment to educational justice and support for underrepresented students is highlighted through involvement with various organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatric Neuropsychology and the American Association of Colleges and Universities. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Psychology from Adler University and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from the same institution, coupled with a Bachelor's degree from Ball State University in Sociology and Interpersonal Communication.
