Kim I. Mills is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in organizational communications and public affairs. Currently serving as Communications Senior Advisor and Deputy Executive Director of Public & Member Communications at the American Psychological Association since July 2007, Kim has previously held the role of Director of Communications & Public Affairs at Whitman-Walker Clinic from 2005 to 2007. Prior experience includes serving as Assistant Vice President and Director of Education at the Human Rights Campaign from 1996 to 2004, and working as a Reporter/Editor at The Associated Press from 1981 to 1995. Kim holds a Master of Arts in Journalism from New York University and two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Biology from Barnard College, complemented by an educational background at Connecticut College and Uniondale High School.
