Michelle Besse-Aslan

Michelle Besse-Aslan is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in fiscal management and operations. Since July 2010, Michelle has served as Chief Financial Officer at the American Psychological Association, where responsibilities include leading annual budgeting efforts exceeding $120 million, overseeing financial governance interactions, and managing real estate budgets and grants. Prior to this role, Michelle was the Director of Budget & Operations Analysis at The National Academies from August 1997 to June 2010, where leadership of a 16-member team involved developing multimillion-dollar budgets and enhancing internal financial reporting processes. Michelle holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Illinois Chicago.
