Terri Schwartzbeck

Terri Schwartzbeck has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Terri is currently serving as the Director of Strategic Public Engagement and Community Outreach at the American Psychological Association since September 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Research!America as the Director of Communications from February 2021 to September 2021, and as the Senior Manager of Communications from September 2018 to February 2021. Terri also has experience working at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as a Public Health Writer/Editor based in the US Embassy in Beijing, China, from August 2016 to June 2018. Terri has held the position of Senior Policy Associate/Senior Digital Outreach Associate at the Alliance for Excellent Education from May 2011 to April 2015. Terri's previous roles also include Program Manager at CNA, Contractor at the US Department of State, Senior Policy Analyst at the American Association of School Administrators, Coordinator at the Institute for Educational Leadership, and Policy Analyst at the Council for Basic Education.

Terri Schwartzbeck has a Master in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School. Terri completed their undergraduate studies at UC San Diego, earning a BA in History, Political Science, and Economics. Additionally, they have obtained certifications such as IPR Master Class Certified from the Institute For Public Relations in 2023, Leading Your Team from ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership in 2022, and Content Strategy for Professionals: Engaging Audiences for Your Organization from Coursera in 2014.
