David Safar

David Safar has a diverse range of work experience in the field of radio and music. David began their career as a Music Director at the University of Minnesota in 2001, and later served as the Program Director for KUOM Radio K from 2005 to 2006. In 2006, they joined Minnesota Public Radio as the Co-Music Director for 89.3 The Current, a role they held until 2011 when they became the Music Director. In 2019, Safar transitioned to their current position as Managing Director of The Current at American Public Media Group.

David Safar has a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Minnesota. David also holds a Doctor of Law (JD) degree from Mitchell Hamline School of Law.
