Justin R. Vonashek

Justin R. Vonashek is a highly experienced transportation executive currently serving as President of Metro-North Railroad since January 2016, with prior roles including Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, Senior Vice President of Operations, and Vice President of System Safety. In addition to his leadership at Metro-North, Justin serves as Second Vice-Chair for the Commuter Rail CEO Committee and is a founding member and Chair of the Commuter Rail COO Committee within the American Public Transportation Association. Justin holds multiple board positions at Operation Lifesaver, Inc. and has extensive experience in regulatory compliance and safety from previous roles at Keolis Commuter Services and Metra Commuter Rail. Justin earned a Master of Science in Transportation Management from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems with a minor in Business Management from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
