Russell Kitchner

Russell Kitchner serves as the Vice President for Regulatory and Governmental Relations at American Public University System since April 2007. Previously, Russell was the President of Lark Meridian, LLC, an independent consulting firm specializing in higher education accreditation and governmental relations from 2002 to 2007. Prior experience includes serving as the Director of Graduate Student Career Services at the University of Notre Dame from 1996 to 2001 and as the Chief Student Affairs Officer at Texas Lutheran University from 1984 to 1991. Russell holds a PhD in Higher Education Administration from Texas A&M University, a PhD in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from Texas Lutheran University, an M.Ed in Secondary Education, and a BA in History from the State University of New York at Fredonia.
